Our Team

Todd Melillo  (tmelillo@fwg.com)- Board Chairman and CEO,

Todd Melillo is President and Director of Trading of Financial West Group and Chairman of the Board and CEO of Progressive Asset Management, Inc. He joined Financial West Group in 1990 and founded the Financial West Group Fixed Income and Trading Departments. Earlier in his career Todd was an institutional middle market fixed income salesperson for EF Hutton and was a member of the branch institutional sales department at Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley. Since 1999, Todd has worked closely with Progressive Asset Management, providing fixed income, trading and equity expertise. In 2005, he joined PAM’s Board of Directors and has now assumed the role of Chairman of the Board and CEO..

 

Robert Creaser (rcreaser@fwg.com)- Chief Compliance Officer and CFO,

Prior to joining Progressive Asset Management and Financial West Group, Mr. Creaser served as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Richmond Hillcrest, Inc. (aka Morgan Peabody, Inc.), an independent contractor broker dealer. His affiliation with Richmond Hillcrest covered two separate periods, from December 1997 to November 2001 and from January 2004 to December 2005. Between his affiliations with Richmond Hillcrest, Mr. Creaser served as Senior Compliance Officer for UnionBanc Investment Services, LLC (a division of Union Bank) from November 2001 to January 2004.

Mr. Creaser began his securities industry career in 1994 with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) commonly known today as FINRA. As a Senior Compliance Examiner he conducted numerous examinations, special investigations, and enforcement directives. Mr. Creaser received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance and Real Estate from California State University Northridge.



Richard Torgerson (rtorgerson@fwg.com)- President, Director of Social Research

Joining PAM in 1996 as an investment consultant, Richard manages PAM's social research, analysis and portfolio screening services, including relations with third-party money management firms. He also oversees the shareholder advocacy program at PAM, working with both clients and outside coalitions to mobilize support for social/environmental initiatives. Richard is also President of Nuclear Free America, Inc., a major provider of military research to the social investing movement and Co-Chair of Maryland Business Leaders for Sensible Priorities. Also a Registered Principal for PAM's Baltimore office, Richard has a Series 7 General Securities, a Series 24 General Principal, and his Series 65 Investment Advisor registrations. Richard holds a BA in political science from The Johns


Catherine Cartier (ccartier@fwg.com)- Chief Administrative Officer

Cathy joined PAM at its inception in 1987 and has served as a Board member and Corporate Secretary since 1994. Prior to joining PAM, Cathy worked for Lehman Brothers and Prudential Bache. Cathy earned a BA from St. Mary's College and holds her Series 7 General Securities, Series 24 General Principal and Series 53 Municipal Principal registrations.
